Volunteer Opportunities at St. Luke’s ACOC

If you’d like to get involved and serve on one of the teams listed below, sign up at our Welcome Table at one of our meetings or sign up at the bottom of the page.

Welcome Table

We are the people who greet and get to know everyone who walks into our meetings or services. We register newcomers and introduce them to the ACOC family. Sign up at our table to participate in the various current activities or to volunteer your time to serve with us using your unique God-given talents. 

Tech/AV

We set up all tech equipment including audio and video for all church services including liturgy, fellowship, and meetings. We capture live media for streaming and maintain an archive of all spiritual messages given at St. Luke’s. 

Hymns

We are the choir that introduces you to the ancient hymns of the Coptic Orthodox Church, translated into English, as we explain and lead the chanting of hymns during prayer time. 

Blessed Bread-Making

We bake the Blessed Bread that is used in the Liturgy. One loaf is selected to be consecrated for the Holy Eucharist, while the remainder are simply blessed for distribution at the end of the service.

Refreshments

We provide snacks and drinks for the social hour after liturgy, meetings, and special events. 

Kids’ Program

We provide childcare services during fellowship meetings for children ages 4–12.

Social Events

We plan outings and events that provide the chance to enjoy Christian fellowship.

Social Media & Website

We capture and share spiritual content and announcements to keep everyone informed of what’s going on at ACOC. We are also responsible for the content of our website.  

Sports/Recreation

We create sporting and recreational events that allow ACOC members to have fun and stay healthy together.

Retreats & Missions Trips

We plan spiritual getaways for the group where we can take some time out for reflection and connect with God in a serene environment. We also plan mission trips where we can share the Gospel and serve around the world. 

Community Service & Evangelism

We organize and engage in acts of service for the community in obedience to our Lord Jesus Christ’s command to serve those in need (Matthew 25:35-40). We also create opportunities to share our faith with others.
